Log Cabins - Home Offices

Our cabins are ideal as a home office, a games/snooker room, a pool-house or summerhouse. Some models are even spacious enough for a hot tub or sauna to be installed and still leave room for changing. They also work well as a workshop or hobby room, music room or dance studio, or just an attractive space for extra storage.

All our cabins are available in 28mm or 44mm thick tongue and groove untreated timber, with complete delivery and installation service provided by our own time served tradesmen. Superior quality felt roofing shingles are an available option. We can also supply our cabins flat-packed ready for self-assembly, with crane off-load delivery to the front of the property (not hand off-load like some companies) for those customers that would prefer to assemble and install themselves.

The Hampton
The impressive Hampton is both strong and luxurious creating a magnificent extra room in the garden. Features: Half-glazed georgian double doors and Georgian style opening windows.

The Wroxall
This spacious and bright cabin is ideal to create a private sun-room in any garden. Features: Fully glazed georgian double doors to gable end (width) with full length 10-pane georgian windows either side of doors. Additional opening windows can be fitted in either side.

The Haseley
The elegant Haseley provides an excellent outdoor office environment with a spacious veranda built in. Features: Single half glazed georgian door in side (length) with 2 No.9-pane georgian opening windows: one in the length and one in the gable end.

The Welford
An attractive ‘summerhouse’ style cabin with fully glazed doors to allow maximum light throughout. Features: Fully glazed georgian double doors in the gable (width) with a 9-pane georgian opening window in the length.

The Sherbourne
The light and airy Sherbourne ‘corner style’ log cabin is designed to provide a combination of relaxation and storage. Features: Half-glazed georgian double doors and georgian style opening windows. Larger models feature a separate room for storage use.

The Packwood
Combining function with form, the Packwood is an apex style building with attractive double doors on the side. Features: Half glazed georgian double doors in side (length) alongside a 9-pane georgian opening window. Ideal for a home office or workroom/workshop.

The Mickleton
Our ultimate workshop building, the Mickleton, offers secure storage for all the outdoor essentials. Features: Double fully boarded doors (single door only on 6ft wide models) in the gable (width) with a 9-pane georgian opening window on the length.

The Armscote
This stylish cabin provides ample light and storage space making it ideal for any garden. Features: Single half glazed georgian door and a 9 pane georgian opening window in the gable (width) plus an additional opening window in the length.

The Langley
The pent roof Langley cabin is a unique design. Features: Half-glazed georgian double doors.

The Wootton
Functional, secure and stylish this ‘garage style’ log cabin is perfect for storing the family car, motorbike or ride-on lawnmower. Features: Large heavy duty double garage doors on front (width) with personal access door and opening window to the side elevation

28mm & 44mm Log Specification

log sizes As standard all of the logs we use in our cabins are high quality interlocking boards constructed with tongue and groove joints.

Combined with our unique 4-way chamfered notch system this ensures a perfect fit for each and every log within your building keeping the elements out and the warmth.

The entire range of 28mm and 44mm log cabins come professionally draft sealed throughout making them water tight and incredibly insulated, saving you on excessive heating costs and greatly reducing the impact on our environment.

General Specification

Log Thickness: 28mm or 44mm (single or double tongued)

Roof: 45mm x 120mm roof purlins support 19mm planed tongue and grooved roof boards.

Floor: 45mm x 57mm tanalised (pressure treated) floor bearers spaced at 400mm centre’s with19mm planed tongue and grooved floor boards.

Doors and Windows: High quality joiner made windows and doors. External grade doors fitted with mortice lock as standard. Windows are push out with adjustable window stays. All fitted with draught seals as standard.

Deck Extension
Add a new dimension to your cabin with a sturdy and functional floor deck extension. Features: Each 5ft deep deck sits on tanalised heavy duty (45x57mm) bearers finished with high quality tanalised decking boards (28x120mm). *Deck extensions can be fitted to the front OR the side of most cabins.

Shingles
Finish your log cabin in style with the addition of high quality felt shingles. Available in four colours: Green, red, brown or grey.

Information

Heart of England Garden Buildings supply quality cabins that are built to last. All our buildings are manufactured here in the U.K. using only premium materials, giving a product that is second to none, but at a very competitive price. We trust that your building will be a useful addition to your garden and would like you to read the following information to ensure it will be an asset for many years to come.

Base
All base work is the responsibility of the customer, as is the safe securing of the building once installed .The base needs to be firm , level and square to ensure timber stability .If required we can arrange base installation through one of our approved installers.

Timber
All timber used is quality Scandinavian pine. We would like to remind customers that timber is an organic product subject to naturally occurring changes caused by various environmental conditions .These changes can result in small movements within the structure that may at times result in small leaks .We would recommend a silicone gap filler, if required.

Roof Covering
Green mineral felt is supplied as standard .Quality hexagonal bituminous felt shingles can be supplied as an optional upgrade .Canadian cedar shingles are also available when building is fitted by ourselves .

Hardware
Brass handles and shoot bolts fitted to doors. Gold finish stays fitted to windows as standard. All ironmongery should be lubricated on a regular basis.

Glass
4mm clear glass is fitted as standard in all buildings. Double glazed units can be fitted as an upgrade. Toughened glass is also avaliable.

Treatment
Apart from the floor bearers, all buildings are supplied untreated. It is strongly recommended that a quality water or spirit based treatment (such as Cuprinol) is applied immediately after installation to provide adequate weather protection.

Delivery
All our cabins are delivered using suitably sized vehicles with crane offload facilities. Kerbside delivery is standard , but we will endeavour to drop within your boundary where possible.

Installation
Self assembly: All our buildings come with a detailed instruction pack with easy to follow step by step instructions for those with a reasonable level of DIY skills.

Full installation: For those who would prefer, we offer a full installation service using our experienced fitting teams .Please ask for further details.

Please note a minimum working space of 1 metre is required around the cabin.
